Ge-Shen Group is proud to celebrate a major milestone achieved by our subsidiary, Polyplas Sdn Bhd, with the grand opening of its new manufacturing facility. This expansion represents a strategic leap forward for the Group as we continue strengthening our capabilities in advanced plastics manufacturing, medical-grade production, and integrated box-build solutions.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guest, Pn Siti Norbaya Binti Kamaludin, Director of MITI Penang and Mr Muhammad Ghaddafi Bin Sardar, Director of MIDA Penang to witness Polyplas’ growth journey and its increasing contribution to Malaysia’s manufacturing landscape. Key customers and suppliers from both local and international markets were also in attendance, reflecting the strong business partnerships that have supported Polyplas over the years. 

During the event, Polyplas’ Operating Directors, Mr Malveen, shared the company’s vision for the future. From his speech, one of the company’s new vision would be embraces smarter manufacturing and enhanced operational efficiencies. As part of this transformation, the company will be integrating more AI-driven features into daily operations, supported by staff development programmes that include AI-focused upskilling courses. With automation targeted to reach 23% utilization, Polyplas is positioning itself to accelerate throughput, elevate quality consistency, and expand its role as a trusted partner in high-precision manufacturing. The company also aims to increase its medical industry production share from the current 10% to an ambitious 25%, further strengthening its presence in this critical sector.

Guests were treated to an exclusive plant tour, featuring the newly built cleanroom facilities equipped with advanced technologies and high-performance machinery. The tour also highlighted the company’s upgraded Manufacturing Execution System (MES), demonstrating real-time tracking, process transparency, and data-driven decision-making.

As the parent company, Ge-Shen Group is truly impressed by Polyplas’ rapid progress and commitment to innovation. This new chapter signifies not only Polyplas’ growth but also the Group’s continuous drive to elevate our collective capabilities.
